A red fox in profile, looking right, painted in the colours a fox actually carries in low sun: orange, lemon yellow, rust, a little blue in the ears and in the shadow under the jaw. I let the back of the head dissolve into drips and splashes so the fox seems to be stepping out of the paper. The eye and the whiskers are the only places with hard edges. It has been a steady favourite for years and is often a first print for people who then come back for the wolf or the raven.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.

I purchased three prints, the sun and moon bears, and a fox. the prints are vibrant, well packaged, and on high quality paper. they are stunning! I purchased frames to accommodate their stated size, and found that they would not fit because they were about a quarter of an inch too large in height and length. I carefully measured and cut them to fit my frames. I would recommend buying a frame with a mat if you don’t feel comfortable cutting (in the case that your frame doesn’t fit.) I would buy from the seller again, and highly recommend.
