Farm Animal Art Prints

Farm animals in watercolor: donkeys, roosters, cows, Highland cattle, sheep, goats, pigs and an alpaca. Signed, numbered limited edition prints.

How I paint farm animals

Farm animals have the most open faces of anything I paint. A donkey looks straight at you. A Highland cow looks through its fringe. A rooster does not look at you at all. I paint them in bright, unexpected colour, a blue donkey or a red goat, because the character carries it. These prints are the ones people choose for kitchens and dining rooms, and they are often bought two or three at a time to hang in a row.

Edition, paper and sizes

Every print in this collection is part of a numbered edition of 150, signed by hand. When an edition sells out it is not printed again. You choose between archival pigment inks on museum-quality cotton paper and a framed canvas in a black wooden frame, in 15 sizes from 20 × 26 cm to 100 × 140 cm. I print and check each one in my studio and ship it flat or in a hard tube. If you are new to editions, my guide to limited edition prints explains what the numbers mean.

The same paintings in other forms

Some of these works are still available as original watercolor paintings, one of a kind. The designs also exist as wearable art: farm animal T-shirts, farm animal mugs and farm animal pillow covers.
