A donkey head-on with both ears up, painted in indigo, violet and rust poured together over a wet sheet, with the pale muzzle left as paper and the body running off in drips. The ears are the brightest part, lilac inside and dark blue at the edges. It is a portrait format and the second most reviewed of my three donkeys; the teal and pink donkey is the first, and there is a green donkey as well.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.
