A panda is black and white only if you paint it that way. On this one I put every colour on my palette into the black: ultramarine, violet, orange, green, pink, all running together down the chest and arms and dripping off the bottom of the sheet. The face stays white, with the black eye patches and nose, so the expression is calm and a little amused. It is the most reviewed of my two panda paintings and the one people buy for nurseries; the quieter panda is painted in greys and violet.
The original watercolor painting is listed separately: see the original colorful panda painting.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.

Beautiful! The print arrived more quickly than expected. I did have to trim it just a time bit to get it to fit correctly in an 8×10 frame. It will be the perfect addition to my eclectic gallery wall once I paint my frame more colorfully.
