Price range: 34,00 € through 1500,00 €
An African elephant head in profile with the trunk curled up, painted in a landscape format. The ear and forehead are peach, pink and lilac, the trunk and the folds around the eye are cobalt and turquoise, and the whole lower edge runs down in violet and pink drips. The tusk is bare paper. There is a cloud of coral splashes behind it. The blue elephant is the same animal head-on in cold colours, and the Asian elephant is the other species.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.

The quality of these prints is astounding. The color and texture make it seem like an actual watercolor painting instead of a print. I checked the back of the print to confirm I wasn’t accidentally sent an original (prints won’t have bleed through on the back). I’m considering taking the glass out of the frame I am putting it in so the details aren’t masked any.
