A raven’s black is never just black. In sunlight the feathers go blue, violet and green, and that is what I painted: the body in layered indigo and purple with turquoise on the wing, a touch of gold on the shoulder, the beak open mid-call. The bird sits on a dark post with ink splatter around it like scattered feathers. It is a landscape format and one of my most reviewed bird prints. People who like Poe, crows and Norse stories tend to find it, and one collector has three of them.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.

Absolutely lovely print. Shipped packaged in a plastic bag, which was brilliant as the outer envelope got wet and could have ruined everything. Excellent forethought by the seller. Ecstatic with my purchase.

I wish I would have gotten a larger size! This is so well printed on watercolor paper that I think it would be hard to tell that it was a print! The artist also included a small bonus print of one of her other works! Will order again.
