A coyote head-on, with the narrow muzzle and the big pointed ears that separate it from a wolf. I painted it in turquoise and cobalt with gold and ochre on the cheeks and ears, the yellow eyes and the black nose as the only hard marks, and the chest dissolving into blue and brown drips. Splatter around the head. It is a portrait format and goes well beside my grey wolf and fox.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.

This is the second print I ordered from this artist and I absolutely love it. Crows are magical birds and this painting captures this bird’s essence. I’m beyond happy with it. It also arrived a week early and came from far away. Sorry the photo is sideways!

I just received this coyote print of a watercolor and I’m just completely blown away. It is exquisite. The coyote’s eyes are so beautiful and wise. It will hang on my wall in a place of honor. It also was received a week earlier than expected, having travelled a long way.
