A crocodile head in profile with the mouth closed in the grin they have and the yellow eye looking at you, painted in a landscape format. The skin is cobalt, teal and green with the scales on the neck drawn one by one, the teeth are bare paper, and there are blue and green splashes around the head. It is often bought for a bathroom or a boy’s room; there is also an American crocodile.
Why it is a limited edition
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.

So talented! I asked the artist if she could edit the teeth to be more anatomically correct for an alligator and it turned out wonderful! Thank you!
