One tentacle, curling up and over itself, with each sucker painted as a ring of yellow, pink or blue around a darker centre, so the whole thing reads like a string of beads. The skin behind them goes from red and orange at the tip to violet and cobalt at the base, with ink splatter around it. It is a portrait format and a popular companion to my octopus print; people often hang the two together in a bathroom.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.
