A humpback whale is the length of a bus and sings for hours. I wanted the scale, so the diver is a small dark shape and the whale fills the paper, its body one long wash of blue with the barnacled jaw and the white of the flippers picked out at the end. The print divers buy for each other, and the one most often ordered large.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.
