A chimpanzee in profile looking left, the face in teal and indigo with the amber eye and the pale lips drawn in, the ear in lilac, and the hair in turquoise and teal laid wet, against orange, yellow and violet washes that run down in drips. It is a portrait format and the most colourful of my three chimpanzees; the chimpanzee and the baby chimpanzee are the others.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.

Amazing artist and amazing pieces! I have purchased a number of the watercolor mugs and a couple of her prints over the years and am always impressed by her work. Most recently I purchased a watercolor chimpanzee print on canvas and it is amazing! Cannot wait until my next purchase from SlaviART!
