A platypus swimming diagonally across the sheet, seen from above, with the flat teal bill, the webbed front feet spread and the paddle tail trailing. The body is painted in violet, rose and brown poured together wet, with a yellow bloom behind the shoulder and ink splatter around it for the water. It is a landscape format and the most reviewed of my Australian animals; Australian collectors buy it most, and it goes well with my otter.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.
