Three whales stacked on one sheet, each swimming its own way: a sperm whale at the top, a humpback in the middle with its long flippers, a right whale below with the callosities on its head. All three are painted in teal, cobalt and violet with white speckles, with peach washes and ink splatter between them. It is a portrait format and a good print for a child who knows the difference. Each whale is also in the shop on its own: the sperm whale, the humpback and the southern right whale.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.

This artist is amazing. She captures movement in her paintings and the watercolor tones show amazing colors, the shapes are true to how the whales look like in nature.

The shirt is beautiful. Perfect for our grandson’s upcoming trip to Hawaii and his whale watching excursion. The talented artist, wrapped the shirt as a special little package including one of her complimentary small water colors. Very impressive. Above and beyond especially since it was during the Christmas holidays.
