A tiger shark swimming right, with the blunt head, the faint stripes on the flank and the long upper tail lobe that give the species away. I painted the body in indigo and slate blue with the stripes in a darker line, and set it against coral, pink and turquoise washes and a few drips. It is a landscape format. The great white and the hammerhead are the other sharks people most often buy with it.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.
