A white tiger has blue eyes, and that is where this painting starts: two pale blue points in a face that is otherwise white paper, black stripes and whatever colour the water carried in. I let the stripes bleed into violet and turquoise on the cheeks and ruff, then let the whole lower half run off the sheet in drips, so the tiger seems to stand in its own reflection. The gaze is straight at you. It is one of my most reviewed paintings of big cats.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.
