A Haflinger, the chestnut mountain horse from the Tyrol with the long flaxen mane, also called the Avelignese in Italy. I painted the head three-quarters on, the mane falling in loose white and pale violet strands across the face, and the coat in orange, rust and magenta with turquoise in the shadows. The eye is dark and soft. It is one of my most reviewed horse paintings and a frequent gift for riders; the blue horse is the other one people choose.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.

We originally bought artwork from SlaviART when my daughter was born. We just re-did her room (6 years later) and let my daughter choose her own animal updates! Absolutely LOVE the gorgeous pieces. The colors pop and add her own personal flair to her new room!
