A chestnut Arabian head, slightly turned, with the flaxen mane blowing to the left and the dished face of the breed. The coat is orange, sienna and violet laid wet with the eye and nostril in a fine line, and the neck runs off the sheet in long drips. Splatter of rust around it. It is a portrait format. The grey Arabian is the other one.
Why it is a limited edition
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
Paper, inks and sizes
- Archival pigment inks on acid-free, museum-quality watercolor paper, so the texture of the original is kept
- Framed canvas options in a black wooden frame, ready to hang
- 15 sizes, from 8 x 10 in (20 x 26 cm) to 40 x 55 in (100 x 140 cm)
- Small sizes ship flat in rigid cardboard, large sizes rolled in a hard tube, worldwide with tracking
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.

I bought 2 pictures. Both are stunning! They look even better, if that’s possible, in person. I can’t wait to get them hung up!!! Very happy! Thank you for the gift!!!!

My granddaughters are enamored of horses (and unicorns). They had an opportunity not long ago to enjoy riding an Icelandic mare. This painting on display in their room in our home reminds them of the magic of that golden November day when they rode the back of a gentle Icelandic mare.
