Arabian Horse Art Print, Signed Limited Edition Watercolor

A grey Arabian in profile, with the dished face, the small muzzle and the high-set ears that mark the breed. The horse is mostly bare paper, with the shadows in cobalt, violet and turquoise and a green and gold wash behind the neck, all of it running down the sheet in long drips. The eye and nostril are the only dark marks. It is a portrait format and one of my most reviewed horses; there is also a bay Arabian.

Why it is a limited edition

Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.

• Small sizes ship flat in rigid cardboard, large sizes rolled in a hard tube, worldwide with tracking
