Blue-footed Booby Art Print, Signed Limited Edition Watercolor

A blue-footed booby standing on a rock, and the feet are the point: two webbed turquoise feet, painted in the brightest colour on the sheet. The rest of the bird is brown and cream with the long grey bill and the pale eye, laid on in soft washes with a little orange and blue behind. It is a portrait format and a favourite with people who have been to the Galapagos; the boy in the photo is holding the 16 x 20 in size.

Why it is a limited edition

Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.

• Small sizes ship flat in rigid cardboard, large sizes rolled in a hard tube, worldwide with tracking
