A black bear painted entirely in blue: cobalt and Prussian blue in the ears and shoulders, turquoise over the face, and a wet wash that runs off the bottom of the sheet in long streaks. The only warm colour is the tan muzzle with its two orange-brown eyes, which is why the face comes forward out of all that blue. It is a portrait format and one of my most reviewed bears. The walking black bear is the colourful, landscape version of the same animal.
The original watercolor painting is listed separately: see the original blue bear painting.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.

This is beautiful. I’m going to hang in in my lakeside cabin in the woods. It’s decorated in a mid century modern vibe. This print is perfect. It keeps with the woodsy theme without being rustic. It’s great!
