A polar bear looking over its shoulder, head slightly raised, the way they stand when they catch a scent on the wind. The fur is not white: I painted it in cream, pale ochre and turquoise laid on in short strokes, with the paper showing through, and a few dark blue splashes for the eyes, nose and the shadow under the chin. It is a portrait format. There is also a blue polar bear, painted in a colder palette.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.
