A giant panda eats bamboo for fourteen hours a day and still looks like it needs a nap. I painted this one in colours a panda does not have, violets and teals in the black, because the shape is so strong it can carry them. Around the mug it comes back to you whichever way you hold the cup.

- Heat-pressed by hand in my studio with HD sublimation inks. The image is in the glaze, not on it, so it does not scratch or peel
