A giraffe’s tongue is dark purple and half a metre long, and its eyelashes would shame a film star. I painted the head and neck coming down into the picture, with the patches laid in wet so their edges stay soft. On the shirt the painting keeps its soft edges and the white of the paper around it.
How the shirt is made
- Printed in my own studio on an Epson direct-to-garment printer, with water-based inks that bond with the cotton. The print is soft to the touch, not a plastic layer.
