A chocolate Lab sitting square, ears up, looking at you with that hopeful face. I painted the coat in burnt sienna and warm brown with violet in the shadows and the light left as bare paper on the chest and muzzle, and a soft blue wash with splashes behind it. The eyes are amber. It is a portrait format and the most reviewed of my three Labradors; more than one collector has told me it looks like a dog they lost. The black Labrador and the yellow Labrador are the other two.
Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.
The frame is not included unless the option says Framed Canvas. Not sure which size fits your wall? Write to me with the width of the furniture under it and I will suggest one. Reproduction rights remain with the artist.
