American Bully Art Print, Signed Limited Edition Watercolor

An American Bully looking at you with its mouth open in a grin, cropped ears up, in the blue-grey coat the breed often has. I painted the coat in grey, lilac and pale blue with the muscles of the chest in soft shadow, the amber eyes and dark nose as the only hard marks, and set it against orange, green and turquoise splashes with drips. It is a portrait format and owners tell me it has the right face.

Why it is a limited edition

Each print is made in an edition of 150, and I sign and number every copy in pencil under the image. The edition is small so that every copy can be made properly: the file is scanned from the painting itself, printed on museum-quality cotton paper with archival pigment inks, compared with the original in daylight and corrected until the colours match, and only then signed. When the last copy is sold, the edition closes for good.

• Small sizes ship flat in rigid cardboard, large sizes rolled in a hard tube, worldwide with tracking
